PICTURE-BOOK
... Deciphering is the grasping of content from its containers; it is the unfolding of all that has been folded into the containers, it is making legible that which has been implied ...
PICTURE-BOOK is the attempt to transpose an image/sign-line/painting and language-script into
a positioning of concepts as legible signs in(side) pictures.
This involves paintings of minimal format (each 12X12X2,5 cm-tempera/canvas) deriving from Hirtl's overall continuum of painting process and utilized for an extended pictorial"scriptural task." This allows for an actually literal placement of concept-‚pictures' into this Picture-Book Structure.
